Color looks (what you want, in plain English)

Most miscommunication happens when you ask for a technique (“highlights”) but you really want an outcome (“seamless blend” or “lived-in blonde”). Start with your look, then we’ll translate it into stylist-friendly terms.

Quick script
Copy/paste (outcome-first)

“I want [look] with a seamless blend (no harsh lines). I want a soft root for easy grow-out, and the tone to be [warm/neutral/cool].”

How to use this hub

Three steps: look → words → plan

1) Pick your look
Choose the outcome you want (seamless, lived-in, sun-kissed, dimensional).
2) Add the 3 clarifiers
Say your brightness (subtle/medium/bright), tone (warm/neutral/cool), and maintenance (low/medium/high).
3) Translate to technique
If needed, your stylist may choose techniques like balayage/highlights + root melt + toner. You don’t have to lead with technique.
